I'm new to forums... what are the basics?
Forums use a hierarchical system to maintain structure and order with conversations. A forum has categories. Categories have boards. Boards have threads. Threads have posts. Posts are what you make to add to the conversation! Be sure to use the categories and boards to navigate yourself to the correct place to start or join in conversations. Then there is "PM" or Private Messaging (also sometimes called "Conversations" if they involve more than one user). This allows you to send messages to a specific user(s) that only they can read.
Can I get my clan recognised on the forum without the need for name tags?
Sure can! Head over to the Clan Registration board and start your application there. You'll need a minimum of 10 people to reply to the thread asking to join the group- once this happens, PM an administrator and they'll make your clan official on the forum- members will then show that they belong to particular clans on their profiles.
Once the clan is created on the forum, they will be granted group rights and their own board that only members can access or see via their group rights. Once registered, the process is passed down to the clan leader(s)- they have the ability to add or remove members, accept or reject requests to join as well as block members from the group. On the clan's board, the clan leader(s) are able to moderate the content on that board such as pinning (sticky) posts or locking threads.
Please note that official clans are managed by their leaders- any disputes regarding being able to join or being blocked should be taken up with them, and staff will not intervene. Likewise, forum staff respect that the clan leader(s) will moderate and manage their clan's board to their desire; any additional rules they add to their board should be respected and any disputes should be taken up with them instead. General forum rules still apply to clan boards; if you think a clan leader is breaking forum rules on their board, please contact a forum moderator or admin.
I've joined a few clans on the forum... how can I change which one appears on my mini profile?
Go to Profile > Edit Profile > Settings, and scroll to the bottom. You'll see the option named "Display Group". Use this dropdown menu to select which one is displayed in your mini profile
